Sewing Group Mondays: 2.00pm - 4.00pm Contact: Mrs Jean Powell Tel: 01792 298131 Activities: We have made over a hundred kneelers for chairs and the Altar Rail in the last few years. We also make small blankets for a project called, “The Linus Project”, which supports the premature baby unit at our local Singleton Hospital. Also, we make soft heart-shaped cushions which are given to patients in the Cancer Breast care unit and give support when using seat belts. Cushions, bags, baby’s quilts are made in readiness for the Autumn Fayre and is a great help financially.
Friends of St. Barnabas Alternate Tuesday’s - 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm - in the  Church Library Contact: Gwynneth Edwards, Chairperson Tel: 01792 520414 Activities: We have a variety of very interesting speakers from all walks of life, all with different tales to tell and information to pass on. We support local charities and the church by way of occasional bring and buy tables, raffles, auctions, etc. We have 'at home evenings' of entertainment of all kinds. We begin and end our evening with prayers and between times we have the required cuppa and chat. Our group is one where everyone is welcome and where everyone is equal.
